Privacy Policy

When OneBump is added to a server we keep:

its Discord id, name, icon, language, owner and member count

what its managers set up: the bump channel, description, invite link, colour, banner, category, tags, blocked words, and the 18+, auto bump and reminder settings

numbers: how many times it has bumped and how many adverts it has received

the result of our automatic 18+ check, and its fair-play standing

To check whether a server is 18+ we look at text Discord already sends every bot: the server’s name and description, channel names and topics, role names, and whether channels are age-restricted. The same channel names, channel topics and role names also help match your advert with similar servers. For that we keep a short list of the words in them that say what a server is about, never everyday ones such as “general”.

To check fair play we look at whether the bump channel is visible to members, whether adverts we posted are still there, and how regular the timing of bumps is.

If you bump, vote, log in or buy something we keep your Discord id, your username, display name and profile picture, and counts of your bumps and votes. We also keep how many times you have bumped each server, until that server’s record is deleted or you ask us to delete yours.

If you log in to this website we also keep an encrypted copy of the access Discord gave us. We use it to ask Discord which servers you manage, so we show you only those, and to add you to a server when that is needed (Discord shows this as “join servers for you” when you log in): the OneBump support server only if you tick that on the login page. We cannot post as you.

When you log in we also ask Discord for your email address, and keep it if Discord has verified it. We use it to send receipts and renewal notices if you buy something, and to fill in the email box at checkout so you do not have to. It does not put you on our mailing list.

If you buy Premium, our payment provider Stripe collects your payment details. We never see your card number. If you type a different email address at checkout, we keep that one instead, for receipts and renewal notices, with a record of what you bought.

If you ask to be mentioned in the reminder for a bump someone else made, we keep your Discord id with that one bump, so the reminder can mention you. It is deleted with the bump.

If you report an advert, we keep your report. The server you reported is never told who reported it.

To provide the service you asked for: showing adverts, enforcing the wait between bumps, logging you in, taking payments.

Because we have a legitimate interest in keeping the network safe and fair: the 18+ check, the fair-play checks, reports and moderation.

Because the law requires it: keeping records of payments.

Because you said yes: marketing email. It is off unless you tick the box (when you log in, at checkout or on your Account page), and you can untick it on your Account page at any time.

Individual bumps and the activity log: 31 to 35 days, then deleted automatically.

Your server’s record: while the bot is in your server. It is deleted automatically 31 days after the bot is removed, or 31 days after any paid Premium runs out, whichever is later.

Votes: 90 days. Fair-play events: 150 days. Results of the 18+ check: 180 days.

Reports and cases: 2 years after they are closed. Staff actions: 2 years.

Logins: 7 days without a visit, 30 days at most.

Counts of the steps taken on this site (which button or page a visit used), kept under a salted code for the person and the server rather than a name: 180 days.

Payment records: for as long as tax law requires us to keep them.

A PayPal address given for a referral payout: deleted 90 days after the payout is closed.

Your own record (name, counts, preferences): until you ask us to delete it.

Your advert (your server’s name, icon, description, banner, tags, member count and invite link) is shown in other servers. That is the service.

We use a small number of companies to run OneBump. They only get what they need:

Discord: logging in, and running the bot.

Stripe: payments.

Klaviyo: sending email. Only if you bought something or agreed to marketing email. We never send it your Discord id.

top.gg: tells us your Discord id when you vote there.

YouTube (Google): only if you press play on a video on our Guides page. The video then loads from YouTube’s “no cookie” player, and YouTube learns your IP address and which video you opened. Nothing is loaded from YouTube before you press play.

Our hosting and database providers, which store the data for us.

Some of these companies are in the United States. Where information leaves the UK or the EU, it does so under the safeguards the law requires. We do not sell information, and we do not give it to advertisers or data brokers.

Logins are kept on our servers, so logging out really ends them. The copy of your Discord access is encrypted. Payment details never touch our servers. Staff access is logged, and staff see only what their job needs.

Remove the bot from your server to stop everything for that server. Its record deletes itself after 31 days.

Log out, or use “Log out everywhere” on your Account page, which also tells Discord to forget the access you gave this website.

Turn marketing email on or off on your Account page.

• To get a copy of your data: log in and press “Download my data” on your Account page. You get it straight away, as a spreadsheet file.

• To ask for a correction, or deletion: ask in the OneBump support server. In a public channel, say only that you have a privacy request. Do not post personal details there. We act within 30 days. Deletion removes your record, your logins, your votes and your bump counts, and takes your name off bumps, logs and closed reports. We keep what the law or safety requires: records of payments and Premium, the record of a server that was removed from OneBump, a report you sent until it is decided, and that you own a server OneBump is still in. We cannot delete your record while a subscription of yours is still running or paused, a bank dispute on a payment is open, or a payout request is waiting: we tell you what to finish first, and delete it as soon as that is done.

If you are in the UK or the EU you also have the right to object to how we use your data, and to complain to your data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office).

Discord requires its users to be at least 13, or older in some countries. OneBump is not meant for anyone younger than Discord allows, and we do not knowingly keep information about them.

The few cookies this site uses are listed in the Cookie Policy. If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will announce it in the support server before it applies.
