OneBump vs Disboard: which Discord bump bot gets you more members?
By the OneBump team · 7 min read · Updated
The short answer
Disboard puts your server on a website that people browse; each /bump moves it back to the top of its tags for a while. OneBump posts your advert straight into the bump channels of other Discord servers, so people see it without leaving Discord. Both are free with a 2 hours wait between bumps. Use both: they reach different people.
- Where your advert goes: Disboard, a website listing. OneBump, other Discord servers (75% of them on a free bump, 100% on Premium).
- Cooldown: 2 hours on both for free. OneBump Premium cuts it to 30 minutes.
- Auto bump: OneBump Premium bumps for you every 1 hour. Disboard has no auto bump, and automating it from your own account breaks Discord's rules.
- Best answer: they do not compete for the same eyes, so run both.

How each one works
Disboard is a directory. You add the bot, write a description, pick up to five tags and run /bump every 2 hours. Each bump sorts your server back to the top of the website's lists, where people searching a tag can find it and join.
OneBump is a bump network. You pick a channel where adverts from other servers can appear, and when you /bump, your advert is posted in the bump channels of other servers running OneBump. The people who see it are already on Discord, in an active server, looking at a channel. See what bumping is for the longer version.
Why that matters
A website listing waits for people to come looking. A bump network puts your server in front of people who were not looking, which is how most small servers get their first hundred members.

Reach: who actually sees your advert
On Disboard, reach depends on how many people browse your tags in the window before someone else bumps past you. Popular tags like "community" or "gaming" turn over in minutes. On OneBump, a free bump is shared to 75% of the servers on the network and a Premium bump to 100%, so your reach does not depend on winning a race to the top of a list.
Most bumps a server can send in a day[3]
| OneBump Premium | 48 bumps |

| OneBump free | 12 bumps |
| Disboard | 12 bumps |
Auto bump
The most common complaint about Disboard is having to be awake to bump. Disboard has no auto bump of its own, and the scripts that press /bump for you run from your personal account, which is a self-bot and against Discord's terms. OneBump Premium bumps for you every 1 hour from the bot itself, so nothing runs on your account.
Do not use a Disboard auto bumper
Self-bots can get your Discord account banned, and your server with it if you are the owner. If you want bumping to happen while you sleep, use a bot that does it officially.

Frequently asked questions
Is OneBump better than Disboard?
They do different jobs. Disboard lists your server on a website; OneBump posts your advert in other Discord servers. Most growing servers use both. If you can only bump one, OneBump's auto bump means it keeps working when you are offline.
Can I use OneBump and Disboard at the same time?
Yes. They do not conflict: each has its own cooldown and its own /bump command. Many servers bump both from the same channel.
What is the Disboard bump cooldown?
2 hours. After you bump, Disboard makes you wait 2 hours before the next one. OneBump's free cooldown is the same; Premium cuts it to 30 minutes.
Does Disboard have auto bump?
No. Tools that bump Disboard for you run on your personal account, which Discord treats as a self-bot. OneBump Premium auto bumps every 1 hour through the bot itself.
Is OneBump free?
Yes. Bumping is free forever. Premium (from $3.99 a month) adds auto bump, a 30 minutes cooldown and 100% reach.
Grow your server with OneBump
Free to add, two minutes to set up. Your advert reaches other Discord servers on your first bump.
