Watch: How To Fix: Cooldown
How To Fix: Cooldown· 1 minRecorded with the previous version of OneBump, so some screens look different. The written steps below are up to date.
The short version
On OneBump a server can bump every 2 hours on the Free plan, or every 30 minutes with Premium. Premium servers can also turn on auto bump, which bumps every hour. The wait belongs to the whole server: when anyone bumps, nobody in that server can bump again until it ends.
- Free: every 2 hours, to 75% of the servers on OneBump each time.
- Premium: every 30 minutes, and each bump reaches 100% of servers.
- The wait is for the whole server, not each person.

What is the cooldown?
The cooldown is the wait between two bumps. It is OneBump’s own rule, set by the bot. Discord has no rule about it.
1You bump
Your advert goes to 75% of the servers on OneBump.
2Wait 2 hours
Nobody in your server can bump. With Premium the wait is 30 minutes.
3Time to bump!
OneBump posts a reminder in the channel where you bumped.
4Bump again
The wait starts again for the whole server.
What are the numbers?
| Free | Premium | |
|---|---|---|
| Wait between bumps | 2 hours | 30 minutes |
| Servers reached per bump | 75% of servers | 100% of servers |
| Most bumps in a day | 12 | 48 by hand, or 24 on auto bump |
| Reach in a day, counted in free bumps | 12 | 64 by hand, or 32 on auto bump |
| Auto bump | No | Every hour |
What Premium adds is OneBump bumps your server for you every hour, so nobody has to type. (Premium): your server is bumped every hour, even while you sleep. A free bump is sent to 75% of the servers on OneBump; a Premium bump is sent to 100%. Auto bump sends 24 Premium bumps a day, where a Free server can send at most 12. Read what you get with Premium.
Who has to wait?
The whole server. The timer is not per person. If a friend bumps at 3:00, nobody in your server can bump until the timer ends.
One more case: Several servers run as one by the same people. They share a single cooldown.. If a OneBump moderator has confirmed that several servers are run as one, they share one timer. When one bumps, they all wait.
How do I know when I can bump again?
- Type
/bump. If it is too early, OneBump tells the channel the time left. - Type
/info server. The line Next bump shows it. - On the website, open your server. The Overview tab counts down.
- Or let OneBump tell you: how reminders work.

⏳ Next bump in 47 minutes (12:47)
@Sam bumped this server an hour ago. It can be bumped once every 2 hours, by anyone.
A reminder will be posted in #bumps when it’s time.
Skip the wait: with Premium, OneBump bumps for you every hour, and every bump reaches 100% of servers. From $3.99 a month.
When someone else bumped and a reminder is on its way, that message has a Mention me too button. Press it and OneBump mentions you in that reminder as well. One reminder has room for 10 people.
Why did my bump reach fewer servers?
A free bump is sent to 75% of the servers on OneBump, and a Premium bump to 100%. Some of those servers are skipped, for the reasons below. After every bump, OneBump shows the real number it reached.
- Some servers cannot receive an advert right now. Their bump channel was deleted, or OneBump cannot post there. They are skipped.
- If your server is 18+, your advert only goes to servers that asked for 18+ adverts.
- Servers that blocked a word in your advert are skipped.
- If OneBump found that your server breaks Bumping is a swap, so hiding or deleting other servers’ adverts gets a server restricted., each bump reaches half as many servers. Type
/info server: the line Fair play then says “Limited (half as many servers)”.

Tired of bumping? With Premium, OneBump bumps for you every hour, day and night, and every bump reaches 100% of servers. From $3.99 a month.

What can go wrong?
- “Next bump in …”. It is too early. The message shows the time that is left. On the website the same thing is called “Too soon to bump again”.
- “Already bumping”. Two people pressed within 3 seconds. One bump is on its way. Nothing more to do.
- “Auto bump is on”. OneBump is bumping this server by itself every hour, so
/bumpis switched off. - “Bumping is paused for a few minutes”. OneBump itself has stopped sending adverts for a moment. Your bump has not been used and your wait has not started. Try again in a few minutes.
- “Bump saved, but no server took it”. A problem at OneBump, not in your server. Bump again when the wait is over.
- Any other message: Fix a problem.
