How to find your Discord server ID
2 min read · Updated
The short version
A server ID is a number of about 18 digits that Discord gives every server. To copy yours, turn on Developer Mode in Discord’s settings. Then right-click your server’s icon, or press and hold it on a phone, and choose Copy Server ID.

What is a server ID?
Every server has a server ID. It is only numbers, 17 to 20 of them, like 123456789012345678. It never changes, even if you rename the server.
Why would I need it?
- Our status page uses it to find the part of OneBump that looks after your server.
- Our support team may ask for it, so they look at the right server.
How do I copy it?
On a computer
- Click the cog next to your name at the bottom left. This opens User Settings.
- Click Advanced.
- Turn on Developer Mode. Close the settings.
- Right-click your server’s icon in the list on the left.
- Click Copy Server ID.
On a phone
- Tap your own picture at the bottom right, then the cog.
- Tap Advanced.
- Turn on Developer Mode. Go back to your servers.
- Press and hold your server’s icon.
- Look for Copy Server ID and tap it.
You only turn Developer Mode on once. It adds a few “Copy ID” items to Discord’s menus and changes nothing else.
Is it secret?
No. A server ID is not a password. Nobody can join or change your server with it.
What can go wrong?
- There is no “Copy Server ID” in the menu. Developer Mode is off. Do the first three steps again.
- The status page does not accept it. You pasted a name or an invite link. A server ID is only numbers.
- I copied a channel’s or a person’s ID. Right-click the server’s icon, not a channel or a name.
