Can 18+ (NSFW) Discord servers use a bump bot?

What does 18+ mean here?

18+ means content for adults. OneBump keeps it apart from everything else.

What are the two switches?

1. My server is 18+. Turn this on if your server is for adults only. Your advert then only goes to servers that chose to receive 18+ adverts.
2. Receive 18+ adverts. Turn this on only if every member is an adult and your community wants them. It only works while your bump channel is an age-restricted channel.

Where are they?

You need the Manage Server permission in that server. Owners and administrators have it.

• In Discord: type /settings in your server. A menu called “OneBump settings” opens. Only you can see it. Press 18+. There the first switch is the button Mark this server 18+, and the second is the button Receive 18+ adverts.
• On the website: log in, press your server, then press the Settings tab. Press the Channel step. Change a switch and press Save changes.

How do I make my bump channel age-restricted?

Only do this if every member is an adult and you turned on “Receive 18+ adverts”. In any other server it hides the adverts from members under 18. Bumping still works, and OneBump tells an admin about it after a bump.

How does the automatic check work?

Not everyone turns the switch on honestly, so OneBump checks for itself. It reads what your server shows in public: its name and description, channel names and topics, role names, how many channels are age-restricted, and your advert.

Each sign adds to a score. A few weak signs do nothing. Then one of three things can happen.

OneBump does not post what it decided where every member can read it. Your server gets a message called “A message for this server’s admins”, with a Read it button. When someone with the Manage Server permission presses it, the news opens for them alone. Anyone else is told “Only admins can read this”.

What is the 18+ lock?

The 18+ lock means you cannot remove the 18+ mark yourself. Only OneBump can remove the lock. Your server can still bump: its advert goes to servers that asked for 18+ adverts.

How do I ask for a review?

• In Discord: press Ask for a review on that message, or on the 18+ screen in /settings.
• On the website: open your server. The notice at the top of the Overview tab has an Ask for a review button. Write what we should know and press Send to a moderator.

Say why your server is not 18+, and what you changed. A moderator looks at your server and either removes the lock or tells you why it stays. Read where your server stands and how reviews work.

• No 18+ adverts arrive. Your bump channel is not age-restricted. OneBump says so on the 18+ screen.
• “This can’t be switched off here”. Your server is locked as 18+. Ask for a review.
• “A note about your bump channel”. OneBump tells an admin this after a bump when the bump channel is age-restricted but the server has not asked for 18+ adverts. Members under 18 cannot see the adverts. Bumping still works.
